Seayoon Jeong is a producer, director, and writer based in New York and Los Angeles. During her decade-long career as an independent producer, she has worked on award-winning independent film projects, including Kilo Two Bravo, Bizarre, Growing Up Smith and Just Charlie. Her produced works have been screened at Academy Award qualifying film festivals, such as the Berlin International Film Festival, the Guadalajara International Film Festival, Edinburgh International Film Festival, and the Woodstock Film Festival, and have won prestigious awards, including a BAFTA and a British Independent Film Award. All of these films are now available on streaming platforms, such as, Google Play, iTunes, Kanopy, Roku, and Tubi.

Seayoon is currently focusing on directing and writing stories that give the underrepresented a voice in the media landscape. Her narrative short film, Breaking the Silence, has won more than 50 awards and has been screened at dozens of film festivals around the world. Breaking the Silence was also an Oscar contender for Best Live Action Short Film and is now available on multiple streaming platforms including Tubi and Plex. Her subsequent experimental short films, such as Captive, have won numerous awards at film festivals as well. She has recently completed her first experimental feature film, Nyctophobia, which has been making its rounds on the film festival circuit since its world premiere at the San Francisco Independent Film Festival.​

Seayoon holds an ALM in Government from Harvard University, an MFA in film from Columbia University and a BA in political science from the University of Pennsylvania.
